Despite its seemingly niche uses, scanners, are in fact something that everyone needs. Starting from college students, to professional medics alike. They were once scarce and expensive back in the day, but of course, it is different now. And on the topic of scanners, today, we’ll be doing a HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 review.
And show you the reason that it’s the perfect scanner for small home offices.
Design and Size
As of right now, there are a lot of portable scanners out there in the world, but most of them are either quite expensive, or just don’t work all that well. Thankfully this isn’t the case for the 2500 f1 for this HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 review.
Measured at 4.8-, 7.8-, and 13.8-inches height, width and depth, the 2500 f1 is quite small in its stature. This makes it ideal for home offices that don’t really need quite the large scanners that will end up wasting more space than it’s worth.
You can put the 2500 f1 on any desk and you’re pretty much good to go.
For being a quite small scanner, the 2500 f1 is by no means a weakling. In fact, it’s quite versatile in its performance. The 2500 f1 combines its flatbed and sheet-fed scanner equipped with an ADF to scan through many items, thick or thin.
The 2500 f1 is rated at 20ppm for single-sided scanning and 40ppm for duplex scanning. While it is quite fast, faster than most light-duty scanners in terms of regular scanning, its speed falls through when it comes to scanning to readable PDF format, settling at around 15ppm and 25ppm instead.
Though, this difference in speed is almost negligible as you probably won’t be using it to scan thousands of pages into readable PDF format every day. It’s definitely noticeable however so just keep that in mind.
Set-up and Software
As far as things goes, it seems like the 2500 f1 insists on being the easiest scanner to use out there. Installation is very simple and the discs that come with it is packed with chockful of software and programs that you’ll ever need.
The biggest strength on this HP Scanjet Pro 2500 f1 review for the 2500 f1 is definitely its price. Yes, there are a lot of flatbed scanners with much better quality or blazing speed scans to searchable PDF, but most of them costs at least twice as this one.
2500 f1 offers everything that they do, albeit a little worse, at a much-discounted price.
So, what’s the verdict then?
Well, the verdict is exactly as what the title says. But just to give this HP ScanJet Pro 2500 f1 review a proper send-off, the 2500 f1 is an excellent choice for anyone who doesn’t need the most heavy-duty scanners.
It’s small, light, doesn’t take much space, and is versatile. Most people in the world won’t find the need to use the bells and whistles of an expensive scanner, they’re probably scan a document once or twice every couple week or so.
Which in turn is why the 2500 f1 is very easily recommendable since it covers such a wide market in the scanning world.
