HP OfficeJet 8025 Review: Is It Worth It?

HP has consistently proved that it’s able to churn out good products. Whether it’s laptop, single function printers, or even multifunction printers such as their OfficeJet lineup. In today’s article, we’ll be going over one of their OfficeJet lineups, the 8025 and see in this HP OfficeJet 8025 review whether it’s worth your money or not.

With its intended usage for small to mid-sized home offices, the OfficeJet 8025 is quite small in nature. It’s 9.2” x 18.1” x 20.1” HWD and weighs around 30 pounds.

But being this small always comes with some sort of drawbacks one way or another, one of the most prominent drawbacks for printers however is the paper handling.

Paper handling in the OfficeJet 8025 is almost subpar, but enough nonetheless. It consists of only one 255-sheet input tray and a 60-sheet output tray. It has no ADF and thus no auto duplexing for scan or print jobs.

Print Speed

But despite its drawbacks in terms of paper handling, it of course has its strong points that we’d like to point out in this HP OfficeJet 8025 review.

One of the things that the OfficeJet 8025 has going on is that it’s very, very fast for a printer at this range.

It holds up to its claim at 20ppm monochrome and 10ppm color in our test at the highest setting. You can go even higher than this of course if you lower the quality a bit.

Print Quality

Another thing that the OfficeJet 8025 doesn’t disappoint for this HP OfficeJet 8025 review is that it prints really well too.

It matches some of the higher end printers the likes of OfficeJet Pro 9015’s and 9025’s print quality and is overall excellent across the board.

It’s no Canon PIXMA high-end level of output, but for what it’s meant for at this price, it’s a pretty damn good deal.

Ink Economy

Speaking of good deals, OfficeJet 8025 is eligible for HP’s Instant Ink program. Usually, its ink cost would be average as you’d expect from an inkjet printer, but with HP’s Instant Ink, its running cost is significantly decreased.

It’s not that worth it of a deal however if you’re mainly using it to print mono pages. But if you’re printing color pages regularly with this thing, that deal is a steal.

So, if you’re intending to print a lot of color pages with this thing, make sure to get HP’s Instant Ink subscription.

HP OfficeJet 8025 review

And to conclude this HP OfficeJet 8025 review, here’s our verdict:

The HP OfficeJet 8025 is an amazing deal for anyone needing a good AIO in their workflow.

It’s best suited for students and small offices as its paper handling is only limited to one input tray, but its slew of excellent features, connectivity, and print quality makes the HP OfficeJet 8025 an easy one to recommend despite its shortcoming.
