The Brother DS620 is an excellent scanner. It’s small, it’s fast, and it just works. But just like with any other piece of technology, using it for the first time can be a bit confusing. Questions such as where to get Brother DS 620 scanner software surely pops out in your mind when you first just go the product.

Installing the Driver and Software
The Brother DS 620 Scanner software comes naturally with the driver the moment you installed it. So, if you have already installed the driver for DS-620, you will surely an app named DSMobile Capture. That is the Brother DS 620 scanner software.
But if you haven’t installed the driver beforehand, navigate to:
Choose your used operating system, and download the driver. That’s pretty much everything you have to do.
Using the Software on Windows and Mac
To use this brother DS 620 scanner software, first connect the scanner to your computer by plugging the USB cable.
After you’re done, open the DSmobile Capture app. If you don’t find the icon on your desktop, you can search for it instead.
The first time you opened it, you will be greeted with a pop-up telling you to select scanner model. Choose TWAIN and proceed.
After that’s done, you will be greeted with the DSmobile capture app interface, there you specify some settings such as the image format and location of the scanner output. If you want more in-depth settings for DSmobile Capture, click on the Setup icon with the gears instead.
When you’re satisfied with the settings for your scanner, insert the document into your DS-620 and click Scan.
The DS-620 will then begin scanning the document you had just inserted. You can see the preview output of the document you’ve scanned with the DS-620.
When the DS-620 has finished scanning your document, another pop-up named “Waiting for next job” will appear. This is simply a way of DSmobile Capture asking if you want to continue scanning some more documents or not.
If you want to keep scanning, just input another document into the DS-620 and it will continue scanning automatically. If you don’t just press cancel.
If you’re using Mac, the steps will be almost exactly the same. The only differences will be the UI as in you won’t get a preview thumbnail of the document you’ve scanned. But other than that, the steps should be almost identical.
Are There Alternatives?
Other than the DSmobile Capture, are there any alternatives for Brother DS 620 scanner software?
Well, the answer to that is of course, yes! There are many scanner alternatives that exist in the internet. One of them being NAPS2 that you can get for free. But since these are third party apps, it may not 100% support the DS-620. So, just keep that in mind if you decide to use it.
We’ve tried it before and it works decently well, but again, it’s third party. There might be some bugs that still exists.
But if you want to use them, you definitely can. Just make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.
