Brother Colour Laser Printer MFC L8690CDW review

First things first, let’s just get this out of the way for this Brother Colour Laser Printer MFC L8690CDW review.

This thing is massive. It is an MFP so you can’t really expect it to be sleek and elegant, but even for MFP standard, this thing is huge.

Though thanks to this size, it has excellent paper handling compared to other MFPs.

It can’t handle A3 paper unfortunately, but its 300-sheet paper tray will be more than enough for most offices that decides to use thing. And if you want even more than that for some reason, you have the option to buy an additional paper drawer that adds another 250-sheet paper to the total of 550-sheet paper tray.

Printing and Scanning Quality

Moving on to the print and scan quality, the L8690CDW is average at best. It prints very good mono pages, but colour came out wonky with some smears here and there. Scans are what you’d expect from Brother. Not as detailed as other brands such as Epson, but still readable and acceptable.

Verdict

Brother Colour Laser Printer MFC L8690CDW review

So, what verdict can we give to close this Brother colour laser printer MFC L8690CDW review article?

It is a great MFP in the sense that it does everything you’d expect an MFP to do. Tons of features, decent print quality, excellent paper handling. All those bells and whistles are well and good for an MFP.

But we can’t quite recommend it over other MFPs seeing that it’s s very expensive, both initial cost wise, and running cost wise. It’s also quite heavy and large too so you’d have to dedicate a completely separate table for it to stand on because trust us, you don’t want to share table with this thing.
