The PIXMA TS9520 is an AIO meant for home use, whether it’s professionally or casually. As such, it’s not surprising to see it sports such a trendy and comfortable look. It’s also quite small for an A3 AIO, which is a plus.

But that plus comes with a bit of a drawback of course and that drawback is that it has mediocre paper handling. It really shouldn’t matter too much though as you’ll be using this thing in low-volume only.

Print Quality

As expected from Canon’s PIXMA lineup, this Canon A3 all in one printer scanner copier has excellent output. Everything that comes out from it looks sharp and detailed thanks to its five-ink system.

Even small fonts at 6pt still come out crisp and clean and very readable and the graphics and photos do come out excellent and vibrant. All in all, you just can’t go wrong in terms of print quality from a Canon PIXMA printer such as this one.

Print Speed

As it’s designed for light-to-medium usage, speed is not really a concern that’s present on Canon’s mind when they’re making the PIXMA TS9520. It prints at a mediocre 14ppm for mono and 10ppm for color.

These numbers obviously aren’t great when you’re looking at it from a busy work-office perspective, but if you’re just using it once in a blue moon to print your photos and images and other things you might need, it’s more than serviceable.

Ink Economy

You might’ve noticed that so far in this article seeing whether the PIXMA TS9520 is as good as a Canon A3 all in one printer scanner copier, we haven’t really talked about its bad sides.

Well, here it comes.

As one would expect, the PIXMA TS9520 is an expensive printer to run, especially with its 5-ink system. It can be quite wasteful with its inks and replacement for said inks tend to be more on the expensive side of things.

If you’re thinking of buying this TS9520 as your Canon A3 all in one printer scanner copier, just don’t expect it to have the cheap ink economy that you’d expect from a supertank printer.

So, is it a good Canon A3 all in one printer scanner copier, then?

Yes, it is. Sure, it is a bit expensive to run, but it offers a lot for its initial purchase cost. It has no duplex which is a bummer, but if you’re using it for home anyway, duplex doesn’t really matter. It has good connectivity too with wireless, making it even better for home use.
