Design

The L1455’s size is what you’d expect from an MFP. It’s average but it will undoubtedly need its own desk to stand on. You don’t want to share desk with this thing, or any other MFP for that matter.

But thanks to its size, the paper handling for this MFP is quite robust. It has 3 paper trays, two of which can hold up to 250-sheet of papers each with the ADF being able to hold up to 35-sheet of paper at once.

Do note though that the two cassette trays can’t be fed with A3 papers. If you want to print or scan A3 papers, use the ADF instead.

Features

In order to even qualify being called as a best A3 printer scanner for small business, it needs to have most of the features that are expected of an MFP.

But fret not because the L1455 delivers. It supports auto duplex for A3 and regular paper size for both scanning and printing with its ADF. This alone already makes it a very good contender to be called as the best A3 printer scanner for small business especially if you duplex a lot of things every day.

Print Performance

Speed wise, the L1455 manages to prints up to 32ppm/20ppm for mono and color from our testing. This isn’t really an extraordinary number for an MFP, but it’s serviceable for small businesses.

As for its output, Epson delivers once again with their printer. Colors look sharp and detailed and there are little to no smudges or banding on the paper. Mono prints also come out nicely with even the smallest text still displaying clarity after being magnified twice or thrice.

Ink Economy

Being a supertank printer, you can count on the L1455 to excels at ink economy. It is far cheaper compared to other MFPs out there, especially against non supertank MFPs. Needless to say, you can count on this MFP to not break your bank when it comes to running cost.

And besides, one set of ink bottles can last this thing up to 80,000 pages after all, so you don’t need to worry about running out of ink on this thing.
